As others have noted, the wait is long! The plus is Two Pitchers is next door, so you can grab a drink to enjoy while you wait. Fries were good, but more importantly, the impossible burger was pretty tasty. I also ordered sauces on the sauce. My favorite was the hot sauce, which is habanero, so be prepared for it to have some heat. I also ordered the spicy BBQ, but can definitely do without it.

Lovely's produces delicious food. Period. Their smash burger is one of the best I've had in the Bay Area, as is their buttermilk hot chicken sandwich. For the smash burger, the patty is smashed so thin, it takes on a lace-like structure that's crunchy with each bite. The hot chicken is indeed very spicy and had me sweating. Great battering on the outside as well -- extremely crispy. Both the smash burger and the chicken patty were seasoned nicely. The burger buns were fresh and the soft texture complemented the burgers nicely. The burgers here are extraordinarily juicy from the added sauce, so you'll definitely want to grab some extra napkins, as you'll certainly be making a mess working through the burger. Moving on to the not-so-good parts of dining at Lovely's... the wait is as bad as everyone states. I waited 45 minutes to place my order and another 45 minutes to pick up my food. Honestly, this is absolutely absurd. Furthermore, the order batching the kitchen does means if your friend makes the first cut and you make the second, you guys will be dining 30 minutes apart from each other. Operational inefficiencies make me hate Lovely's so much, and yet their burgers are irresistible. If you have the time and patience -- and a LOT of it, I would give Lovely's a try. Otherwise, you are better off getting your burger fix elsewhere.

Came here during 11:50AM on a Sunday and there was already a line, but it was for the pub next door. Hung around for a tiny bit until it opened and I came in and was second to order. Got a Drive Thru, Fries, Corn Fritters, and extra Sauce, requested TO-GO. You can hang out in the bar while you wait which has free water, comfy couches, and a beer if you really need one. After about ten minutes my order was ready but it was a For Here order, asked if he can make it to-go, no hassles whatsoever. Decided to take it home but I live close enough so it was still fresh and hot. The burger was absolutely fantastic, honestly in our day and age smash style burgers are the only way to cook these burgers now. Lots of cheese lots of sauce, lots of fresh veggies on the burger too. Genuinely an amazing burger, did get a bit messy at the end without any changes. Corn fritters are tasty, but I love corn and cornmeal batter, it's honestly more like a hush puppy than the traditional corn fritters which is like a cluster of corn or so. I wish there was more corn though. It was mainly just eating mini corndogs without the protein and more batter. The biggest glaring problem with this is the french fries, I got them fresh and I eagerly had a bite of them on the drive home and even fresh from the fryer it was weak, limp, soggy, and not good. Even after dipping them on the special sauce on the side it was still drastically below mediocre. I NEVER bring up price as a negative thing in my reviews, but you literally cannot charge me $5 for fries I can make better in the microwave. Anyways, the burgers are genuinely amazing and delicious and some of the best, but what is a burger joint if you can't also enjoy the fries. Can the fries be fixed? Maybe if you ask them to well done it, sure. But I don't think I would want to order the fires again. Tldr: Get the burgers.

Great burger, fries, and beers. There's usually a long line for food but you can grab a beer and wait. Lovely outdoor space when it's warm.
